Position Summary
The Divisional Trainer is responsible for developing, coordinating, and delivering onboarding and ongoing training within their assigned division. This role ensures staff are equipped to provide safe, high-quality, person-centered services while maintaining compliance with BHA policies, regulatory requirements, and operational standards.
Unlike the Company Trainer, who supports all divisions, the Divisional Trainer is embedded within a specific division and serves as a hands-on trainer, coach, and mentor. The position supports employee onboarding, 30/60/90-day development, competency assessments, fidelity monitoring, and ongoing staff development.
This is a safety-sensitive position.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Social Work, Human Services, ABA, or related field preferred (equivalent experience considered)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in behavioral health, special education, residential services, or developmental disability services
- Experience in staff training, onboarding, coaching, or supervision preferred
- Knowledge of behavior support strategies, trauma-informed care, and crisis prevention techniques
Skills
- Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
- Ability to coach, mentor, and provide constructive feedback
- Excellent organizational, documentation, and data-tracking skills
- Ability to collaborate across departments and work independently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and training management systems
Essential Responsibilities
- Facilitate division-specific onboarding and ongoing training programs
- Coordinate and track required training, certifications, and compliance requirements
- Conduct competency assessments, observations, and fidelity checks
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance support to staff
- Identify training gaps and partner with supervisors on development plans
- Support 30/60/90-day onboarding and employee development initiatives
- Maintain accurate training records and documentation
- Ensure training aligns with BHA policies, licensing standards, and best practices
- Promote person-centered, trauma-informed, and ethical service delivery
- Collaborate with Operations, HR, Clinical, and Company Training teams to support workforce development and quality improvement efforts

- Attend required meetings, trainings, and professional development activities
- Support quality improvement and organizational initiatives
- Complete other duties as assigned
