What You Will Do:
  • Own the Claims Lifecycle: Perform charge postings and submit clean claims to commercial payers, Medicare, PPOs.
  • Secure Authorizations: Proactively request and secure necessary medical equipment authorizations from insurance companies.
  • Recover Revenue: Review monthly aging reports, investigate claim denials, and launch successful appeals to maximize reimbursement.
  • Post & Reconcile: Accurately post payments, process incoming funds, and manage private pay balances.
  • Build Relationships: Overcome payment hurdles by making professional, friendly collection calls to patients, payers, and managers.

What You Bring:
  • DME Expertise: 2+ years of dedicated medical billing and collections experience specifically within the Durable Medical Equipment industry.
  • Code Fluency: Deep comfort navigating HCFA forms, HCPCS, ICD-10 codes, and EOBs.
  • Payer Knowledge: Strong familiarity with Medicare billing policies, and PPO procedures.
  • Tech Savvy: Practical knowledge of Microsoft Excel (sorting, formatting, and using basic formulas) and general medical terminology.
  • Adaptable Mindset: An organized approach to handling multiple active accounts simultaneously while working seamlessly with peers.
