JOB SUMMARY: Under supervision, this role manages the Student Information System (SIS), oversees data reporting, maintains user accounts, trains users, and protects confidential information.

Requirements / Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Education: Graduation from high school or equivalent. College-level coursework or an associate or bachelor s degree in information systems, data management, business, education, or a related field is desirable. Experience: Experience with student records, school office operations, databases, information systems, educational technology, reporting, or technical customer support is desirable. Five or more years of progressively responsible, directly related experience supporting a K-12 SIS, CALPADS, mandated student-data reporting, or comparable complex data systems. Experience independently completing major reporting cycles and resolving complex cross-system data issues is required. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge and abilities may be considered.

Serve as the primary contact for SIS and student-data systems, diagnosing issues and coordinating resolutions with vendors and technical staff. Coordinate CALPADS data management, including enrollment, demographics, program participation, and assessments. Develop an annual reporting calendar and certify CALPADS submissions by deadlines, resolving data discrepancies and errors across various systems. Collaborate with school offices and departments for data collection and accuracy, prepare and submit local and state reports, and support audits and public data requests. Monitor enrollment and attendance data, producing regular reports. Manage staff email and productivity-suite accounts, create access to online applications, and ensure adherence to data security and confidentiality. Oversee data exchanges with third-party systems, maintaining clear documentation and training materials. Train staff on SIS use and reporting requirements, stay updated on communications from education agencies, and implement approved changes. Ensure compliance with privacy and security standards, participate in system improvements, and provide responsive customer service while managing competing deadlines. Attend meetings and perform related duties as assigned.
