Job description:
Business System Analyst 4 to support DOC implementation of Electronic Health Records (EHR) solution. Must possess clinical healthcare experience; experience with business systems analysis industry best practices.
- Electronic Health Records (EHR) Business System Analyst 4 to perform the following:
- Supports the EHR program. Possess experience within a Clinical/Health/Bio-Tech environment.
- Has familiarity with HL7 and its family of standards including Version 2 (V2), Clinical Document Architecture (CDA) and Fast Healthcare interoperability Resources (FHIR).
- Supports the Health IT Unit in the implementation of the EHR solution.
- Collaborates with clinical staff and IT leaders to translate clinician requirements into coordinated specifications for the EHR solution.
- Defines Health IT requirements for clinical disciplines as they relate to the strategic plan and unit mission.
- Provides business analysis on clinical processes, workflows and related artifacts.
- Contributes to project/program implementation, infrastructure, system architecture, planning, project initiation, business analysis, requirement definition, systems design, systems design, systems development, system testing, systems implementation, on-going maintenance and enhancement, effective problem identification and resolution, production service and support, and systems administration support tasks to ensure computer applications will assist DOC in achieving its day-to-day mission.
- Implements downtime readiness procedures and internal reporting regarding system response time and service level agreements for connectivity and operational effectiveness of Health IT.
- Ensures compliance with the VITA project management standards and procedures for development, enhancement, and deployment of applications developed or procured by Health IT/ITU to deliver services that satisfy user requirements and Health IT/ITU.
