Lead the forklift operators in the efficient receiving, storage, and distribution of all supplies, products, and raw materials
Assist in the set up and control of FEFO Inventory System to ensure uninterrupted flow of product and materials
Monitor workflow between inbound and outbound loads and adjust staffing accordingly
Model load and paperwork handling best practices
Hold teams accountable for scanning and tagging products
Ensure timely reporting to management of all incidents that would impact food safety and personnel safety
Serve as a liaison between staff teams to facilitate streamlined communication and minimize load delays
Assist in staging and preparation of documentation for product and material being picked up or shipped
Drive process improvement initiatives aimed at gaining efficiencies throughout the DC’s
Create SOPs as needed to ensure consistent methods used by all Forklift Operators
Provide inventory for forklift operators when needed or when requested
Communicate with all leads and supervisors with an update at the end of each shift
Adhere to and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices, quality production and Food Safety
What You Need to Bring:
3+ years’ experience in Warehousing/Forklift is preferred, but not required
Regular standing and sitting required for extended periods of time
Ability to work within warehouse management system and use scanning equipment
Ability to regularly bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations
Comfortable in warehouse and production environment that may include noise, dust, production chemicals and variable temperatures
Knowledge of Outlook, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and customer portals
Ability to communicate with all levels of employees, vendors, customers and visitors
