Dock Truck Driver

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dock Truck Driver to join our team in Minneapolis, MN, 55414. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods to and from our facility, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficiency. Responsibilities

• Operate 26ft or 30ft dock trucks to transport goods to designated locations.
• Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road.
• Assist with warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and organization.

Qualifications

• Valid class D driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience as a truck driver, preferably in a dock or warehouse environment.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in transportation.
• Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks as required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications are a plus.
