1) Title: Dock Worker (16 openings):
Services would start on or about 41 days before each Election Day and end on or about 21 days after each Election Day, seven (7) days a week.
Add: Mon- Fri 8 AM – 4 PM
7:15 AM every day (doors open)
Work on voting day early: 5 AM – 9 PM or later depending on the work and return to the facility
Each Worker must be dependable, prompt and capable of lifting and/or moving heavy loads, assist with packing, shipping and receiving; unloading voting equipment; pulling materials; packing and unpacking voting equipment; sorting and placing materials and equipment on or in voting equipment; assist with testing and inventorying materials and maintain a clean, safe and respectful work environment at all times.
2. Duties may require some heavy lifting up to 60 lbs., some minor lifting of objects 10-15 lbs., pushing of Election Supply Carriers of up to 760 lbs., fully loaded in teams of two and extended standing. Each Worker will receive the necessary training by the Board.
Each Worker must have the following minimum qualifications:
a. Knowledge of or ability to learn various concepts as related to assignments;
b. Dependable and reliable;
c. Ability to organize and assign work;
d. Good oral communication skills;
e. Good record keeping skills for inventory ortesting assignments;
f. Good time management and mathematical skills;
g. 1-2 years previous warehouse experience preferred;
h. Inventory, Equipment maintenance experience;
i. Experience with computers and basic office equipment preferred;
j. Proficient in speaking English as primary language.
*** Need to have Steel boots***
These Workers will generally be assigned to:
a. Duties requiring heavy lifting and moving ESCs to and from the dock loading area to a designated location;
b. Each ESC fully loaded weighs approximately 760 lbs. and 2 Workers are assigned to each ESC
c. Assist in checking for damage to ESCs prior to their release
Personnel Conduct Requirements (For all the jobs – add this 4 jobs)
1. Workers are allowed to wear casual attire. Jeans, knee-length shorts, work boots and gym shoes are acceptable. Personnel assigned to work on the Dock or pushing ESC's are required to wear steel-toe boots. No political rhetoric or profanity on clothing, ripped jeans, open-toe shoes, or Crocs.
2. Smoking is permitted ONLY outside the facility located at 1819 West Temporary Staffing – Central Office Headquarters & Warehouse RFP Pershing Street and must occur at least 15 feet away from the entrance.
3. Workers are not allowed to have mobile devices on their person while on the production floor. This includes the use of headphones or Bluetooth devices,
4. Workers are not allowed to sleep in the Warehouse at any time.
5. Workers should only eat and drink in designated areas. Never on the production floor.
6. The manager and assistant manager will be providing employee schedules.
