Docketing Clerk (Litigation Support)
Location: Los Angeles, CA, Hybrid 3/2 Salary: $65,000 – $85,000 DOE
We are recruiting on behalf of our client, an international law firm, seeking a Docketing Clerk to support a high-volume litigation practice. This role is focused on deadline calculations, docketing accuracy, and litigation calendaring across California and federal courts.
Key Responsibilities
- Calculate and manage litigation deadlines based on California and federal court rules
- Enter and maintain accurate docketing and calendaring data in the firm's system (Milana or similar)
- Review court filings, correspondence, and orders to extract and track deadlines
- Generate reports outlining upcoming deadlines and required actions
- Maintain and update litigation calendars for attorneys and legal staff
- Respond to internal inquiries regarding court rules, deadlines, and docketing procedures
- Conduct research on court rules across jurisdictions as needed
- Support ongoing development of docketing processes and workflows
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of California court rules and deadline calculations required
- Experience with federal and state court docketing processes required
- Prior experience with docketing systems (Milana strongly preferred)
- Ability to manage high-volume work with a high degree of accuracy
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with attorneys and support staff
- Experience with multi-jurisdictional filings is a plus
