Job Title: Dockhand Department: Marina Reports To: Marina Manager Summary: The Dockhand is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the marina and assisting marina members. The marina is a service driven business and the customer is the driving force behind every task. Dockhands work to ensure a safe and clean environment throughout the harbor and marina facilities. Duties and Responsibilities: - Greet and acknowledge guests
- Help orient members to the marina, facilities and answer questions related to services, dining, entertainment and travel directions
- Assist in securing boats to docks, connecting utility services (power/water) and waste pump outs
- Deliver mail and/or packages to marina members
- Clean public areas such as restrooms, kitchen, common areas, laundry rooms and picnic areas
- Replenish supplies
- Wash windows, door panels and sills
- Clean bottom and sides of pool, removed leaves and cleans filter system
- Move and arranges outdoor furniture
- Perform outdoor clean-up such as pulling weeds, raking leaves, planting, and picking up debris and smoking areas
- Empty trash cans and transports trash for weekly pickups
- Assist other departments with moving furniture and unloading and storing supplies
- Reports disturbances, maintenance repairs or unsafe conditions
- Perform other duties as assigned
