Job DetailsWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Document Control Specialist to join our dynamic Engineering team. This role plays an integral part in managing and maintaining all engineering documents, including designs, plans, reports, and manuals. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall document control process, ensuring the accuracy, quality, and integrity of the documents.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain all engineering documents in an organized, accurate, and accessible manner.
- Implement and oversee the document control process, ensuring that all documents are accurate, complete, and up-to-date.
- Work closely with the engineering team to understand and manage document requirements.
- Facilitate the Engineering Change Notice (ECN) process, ensuring that all changes are properly documented and communicated.
- Utilize Product Data Management (PDM) systems to track and control document revisions.
- Implement and manage the engineering configuration process, ensuring that all changes are properly documented and communicated.
- Monitor and control the change control process, ensuring that all changes are properly documented and communicated.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure that all documents are accurate and up-to-date.
- Conduct regular audits of the document control process to ensure compliance with internal and external standards and regulations.
- Provide training and support to staff on the document control process and systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in document control, with specific experience in aerospace/aviation.
- Proficient in Product Data Management (PDM) systems.
- Familiarity with Engineering Change Notice (ECN) process.
- Knowledge of engineering configuration and change control processes.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other document control software.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to document control such as ITAR, EAR, FAA, AS9100, etc.
- Experience with SolidWorks PDM is a plus.
