Key Project Requirements:
- 5+ years of document control experience within power generation, EPC, oil & gas, industrial manufacturing, construction, or another heavy industrial environment preferred.
- Experience with an Electronic Document Management System (EDMS); Aconex experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of document numbering, revision control, document registers, transmittals, review/approval workflows, and technical records management.
- Ability to organize and control large volumes of OEM, engineering, quality, refurbishment, and equipment documentation.
Job Summary:
The Document Controller will be responsible for organizing, maintaining, and controlling engineering, technical, and project documentation supporting power generation operations and projects. This position will manage engineering drawings, OEM documentation, equipment records, procedures, quality records, inspection and test documentation, and other technical information associated with gas turbines, auxiliary systems, and related power generation equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain the document control system and organize engineering, technical, and project records within approved EDMS platforms.
- Receive, catalog, index, distribute, and archive engineering drawings, specifications, OEM manuals, equipment records, procedures, reports, and other technical documentation.
- Maintain document registers, numbering conventions, revision histories, metadata, transmittals, and distribution records.
- Coordinate document review and approval workflows with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure current and approved document revisions are readily available and superseded documentation is appropriately identified and controlled.
- Support the identification, collection, and organization of OEM, vendor, and technical documentation associated with gas turbines, auxiliary systems, and related power generation equipment.
- Maintain inspection, quality, testing, maintenance, and other technical records and support the compilation of complete equipment and project documentation packages.
- Identify missing, incomplete, or conflicting documentation and coordinate with appropriate internal and external stakeholders to resolve discrepancies.
Job Requirements:
- Demonstrated document control experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, construction, commissioning, maintenance, or other industrial activities.
- Experience using an EDMS or other technical document management platform; Aconex experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of engineering drawings, specifications, technical manuals, vendor documentation, quality records, and document control processes.
- Strong understanding of revision control, transmittals, document registers, review and approval workflows, and records traceability.
Education / Experience:
- Experience supporting engineering and technical documentation associated with gas turbines, auxiliary systems, or other power generation equipment preferred.
- Experience with Aconex or a comparable EDMS preferred.
