The Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP) offers military personnel a nationwide opportunity to gain hands-on experience and training as a Kia Certified Automotive Technician through the DOD SkillBridge initiative.
Job Description
Engage in a structured apprenticeship program diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing Kia vehicles, including components such as engine, transmission, steering, suspension, brakes, HVAC, and electrical systems.
Complete repair orders and warranty requests following Kia and Retailer guidelines.
Leverage Kia diagnostic tools and equipment to test drive and troubleshoot vehicle systems efficiently and accurately.
Collaborate with shop foremen and service advisors to ensure timely repairs and excellent customer service.
This program is designed to transition military Veterans into successful automotive careers with Kia Retailers nationwide. Employment decisions are made by participating Kia Retailers and are contingent upon meeting program eligibility and skill requirements.
Requirements
Qualifications
Active military personnel eligible for the DOD SkillBridge program or military Veterans
Honorable Discharge (if Veteran)
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Experience or interest in technical/mechanical fields
Willingness to pass drug screenings and background checks
