Greenbriar Veterinary Hospital & Luxury Pet Resort is looking for a full-time experienced Dog Trainer to join our team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community in Frederick, MD.

About You

You''ll play an important role in pets'' lives by guiding their learning, confidence and wellbeing through professional, positive reinforcement training. Your life-changing work will range from hands-on behavior/obedience support and individualized training plans to collaborative care with our veterinary and resort teams, ensuring every dog experiences safe, positive reinforcement-based handling from arrival to departure.

The success of your training plans matters to you, and your success matters to us.

Your Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 1 year of hands-on professional dog training experience required
  • Training credentials (CPDT-KA, CPDT-KSA, IACP-DT or NADOI) strongly preferred but not required
  • Familiarity of Fear-Free protocols strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with positive reinforcement training methods strongly preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Possesses a positive work attitude
  • Self-motivated
  • Excellent communication and organization skills

Compensation is negotiable based on experience and credentials, with an expected starting range of $20 - $23 / hour. The actual compensation will carefully consider a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
