Donor & Family - Administrator On Call
The Donor & Family Administrator on Call (DFAOC) provides logistical guidance and administrative oversight of Donor & Family Coordinator - Organ (DFCO) daily operations. Operating in an on-call capacity, this role leverages advanced critical thinking, autonomous decision-making, and communication clarity to provide guidance for imminent organ referrals, family donation conversations, and family case support. This role supports training efforts, process improvement initiatives, and overall family support for case activity to increase lives saved through organ and tissue donation and transplantation.
12, 24 hour, on-call shifts per month
Demonstrates critical thinking and decision support in providing guidance and deployment to DFCOs for imminent referral follow-up, hospital onsite presence, family interactions, and case support.
Provides additional leadership navigating family dynamics and interactions in the event of resistance to the potential donor's First-Person Authorization (FPA) decision.
Demonstrates leadership support to the DFCO team, providing guidance through operational challenges. This may include conversation guidance with healthcare teams to foster trust, resolve challenges, and maintain positive relationships.

Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in healthcare, social work, bereavement, or related field, or equivalent work experience required.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in family dynamics within a medical or hospital setting, with core competencies in social work, crisis intervention, grief support, hospice care, counseling, psychology, spiritual care, or allied health field.
2 years of experience as a Family Services coordinator, or equivalent role, in an OPO required. Leadership experience strongly preferred.
