Manages and provides continuous development of an innovative donor services program (donor relations, stewardship, and communications) within University Advancement. Plans, manages and executes donor relations and stewardship practices that advance the University and its goals. Coordinates ongoing donor recognition, stewardship and communication activities that enhance development efforts. Interacts professionally with all internal and external customers using strong interpersonal skills.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in business, marketing, communications, education or a relevant field and a minimum of four years of progressively responsible donor relations, stewardship or related experience. Must be able to occasionally work evenings and weekends. Valid drivers license and ability to establish driver eligibility under the Universitys Driving and Motor Vehicle Policy.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in higher education advancement, endowment management, & budget development.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Knowledge of:
Donor relations and stewardship principles and best practices
Advanced proficiency in personal computer applications (e.g. MS Office Suite including database, spreadsheet, word processing, internet, email)
Skills:
Written, verbal and interpersonal communication with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of university / external constituents
Demonstrated strong analytical skills for determining information needs, creating work flow processes and timelines, and the development of reports that provide comprehensive endowment fund information
Donor or constituent database and reporting systems and the ability to quickly learn Millennium or other
Organizing information / projects while adhering to established budgets and deadlines
Ability To:
Develop and implement plans and meet deadlines
Be self-motivated, work independently and as part of a team
Multi-task while managing multiple projects and assignments in a timely manner
Think collaboratively, strategically, and creatively
Analyze and prepare data, develop and deliver presentations, and stewardship reports
