Commercial Doors & Hardware Estimator (Division 8)
Location: East Hartford, CT
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Compensation: Based on Experience 

Lingo Staffing is partnering with a well-established construction supply and commercial building products company in East Hartford, CT to hire a Commercial Doors & Hardware Estimator with strong Division 8 experience.

This position is ideal for someone with experience in commercial doors, frames, hardware, and openings who wants to move into or continue in an office-based estimating and project support role. The company is seeking someone who understands commercial door packages, specifications, takeoffs, and contractor coordination — not just general construction sales.

This is a stable, long-term opportunity focused on estimating, technical support, and customer/project coordination rather than aggressive outside sales.
Responsibilities

• 
  Review project plans, specifications, and Division 8 requirements
  
• 
  Prepare detailed estimates and quotations for commercial doors, frames, and hardware packages
  
• 
  Perform takeoffs from blueprints and construction documents
  
• 
  Interpret hardware schedules, specifications, and opening details
  
• 
  Coordinate with contractors, vendors, suppliers, and internal teams throughout the bidding and project process
  
• 
  Support customers with product knowledge, technical guidance, and project coordination
  
• 
  Assist with order entry, project tracking, and estimate follow-up
  
• 
  Maintain strong relationships with contractors, project managers, and customers
  

Qualifications

• 
  Experience with commercial doors, frames, hardware, and Division 8 products
  
• 
  Prior experience in estimating, project coordination, inside sales, project management, detailing, installation, or related commercial openings work
  
• 
  Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and construction documents
  
• 
  Understanding of commercial hardware, hollow metal frames, and door systems
  
• 
  Strong communication and organizational skills
  
• 
  Ability to manage multiple bids, estimates, and projects simultaneously
  
• 
  Experience with architectural hardware or commercial openings preferred
