This role includes greeting guests with professionalism and enthusiasm opening doors assisting with luggage coordinating transportation and providing directions or information about the hotel and local area. The Door Attendant plays a vital role in setting the tone for the guest experience by offering attentive courteous and personalized service while maintaining the safety and cleanliness of the entrance area.YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Greet all guests and visitors promptly and courteously as they arrive and depart from the hotelOpen doors for guests entering or exiting the property offering a warm and professional welcomeAssist guests with luggage and direct them to the Front Desk or appropriate areaCoordinate with bell staff valet and front desk to ensure seamless guest arrivals and departuresProvide directions hotel information and local recommendations in a knowledgeable and helpful mannerMonitor and maintain cleanliness and order at the front entrance including sweeping organizing luggage and assisting with umbrellas during inclement weatherEnsure guest safety by monitoring who enters and exits the property and reporting any suspicious behaviorMaintain a strong presence at the front entrance always appearing professional polished and ready to assistCommunicate effectively with all hotel departments to ensure guest requests are fulfilled quicklyProvide assistance and support to guests with special needs or mobility challengesSupport bell and valet teams with luggage handling or vehicle coordination during peak timesPerform other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors or managementWe recognize we are in the hospitality industry and that may require us to provide lateral service.We will on occasion call for each individual in the team to on a routine basis perform various related tasks as needed in the spirit of providing exceptional guest service.QualificationsSPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE & SKILLSHigh School Diploma or equivalent education required additional hospitality training or certification preferredMinimum one to two years of experience in a guest-facing role preferably in an upscale or luxury hotel environmentStrong understanding of hotel entrance procedures guest arrival and departure flow and bellvalet coordinationExcellent verbal communication skills in English additional language ability is a plusDemonstrated ability to provide exceptional guest service with professionalism poise and a friendly demeanorKnowledge of local area attractions transportation options and hotel services to assist and guide guestsMust be able to stand walk or remain on foot for extended periods minimum eight-hour shiftMust be observant proactive and quick to respond to guest needs or unusual situationsAbility to multitask and remain calm and courteous under pressure or in high-traffic situationsMust be able to twist bend pushpull reach climb stairs and carry or lift objects up to 50 lbs as neededPhysically capable of assisting guests with luggage or mobility equipment safely and respectfullyWorking knowledge of basic safety security and emergency procedures in a hotel settingMaintains a neat clean and professional appearance in compliance with uniform standardsAll team members must maintain a neat clean and well-groomed appearance.
