Our millwork company is growing, and we're looking for a dependable, motivated Door Hanger / Door Machine Operator to join our production team.
In this role, you'll be responsible for taking doors from slabs through the hanging and assembly process, using our Norfield door machine and other shop equipment. You'll build and assemble jambs, install hinges and hardware, prep sand units for in-house finishing, and ensure every door leaves the shop in perfect condition.
This is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, pays attention to details, and wants to build a career in the millwork industry.
What You'll Do
Operate our Norfield door machine to accurately machine and hang doors
Build, assemble, and prep door jambs
Install hinges, stops, sweeps and other door components
Rout and prep doors and jambs for hardware
Measure and verify dimensions to ensure doors are properly fitted
Inspect finished assemblies for quality, fit, and appearance
Read work orders, drawings, and production specifications
Use hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment safely
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of craftsmanship
Communicate with other members of the production team to keep jobs moving
