Commercial Door & Hardware Installation Technician – Tulsa, OK
HireCall is seeking an experienced Commercial Door & Hardware Installation Technician for a valued client in the Tulsa area. This position is ideal for someone with commercial construction, carpentry, or door and hardware installation experience who is mechanically inclined and comfortable working independently on job sites.
Candidates should have hands-on experience installing hollow metal doors, wood doors, and commercial door hardware.
- Monday–Thursday
- 6:00 AM–4:30 PM
- Minimum 40 hours per week
- Overtime may be available
- Some travel to job sites or out-of-town work may be required
- Install commercial hollow metal and wood doors
- Install closers, panic bars, kick plates, locksets, and other commercial door hardware
- Unload, distribute, and stage doors and hardware at the facility and project sites
- Organize and maintain door hardware and assist with inventory
- Complete punch-list work and communicate completion with supervisors or project managers
- Read and understand construction plans, blueprints, and schematic drawings
- Perform layout, drilling, anchoring, installation, and adjustment of doors and hardware
- Use hand and power tools safely and accurately
- Protect completed finish work and surrounding work performed by other trades
- Minimum 1 year of commercial door/hardware installation, construction, carpentry, or closely related experience
- Commercial door and hardware installation experience strongly preferred
- Carpentry skills required
- Mechanically inclined and proficient with hand and power tools
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure to 1/8 inch
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and construction drawings
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Dependable with a strong work ethic
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid driver’s license required
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to job sites as neede
- Stand and walk for extended periods, including inclined or uneven surfaces
- Climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands
- Crouch, crawl, bend, reach, grasp, and work above or below shoulder level
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds for short distances
- Work in both hot and cold weather conditions
