Job Title: Door Maintenance Technician III (1st Shift)
Location: Peoria, IL
Duration: 6 Months Temp to Perm
Pay: $22 $25/hr (W-2)
Shift: 1st Shift, 6:30 AM 2:30 PM (Mon Fri; may vary, OT/weekends required)
Overview:
Advanced-level technician responsible for troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of industrial doors and related systems in a large industrial/clean room environment. Requires strong problem-solving, time management, and ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair overhead doors, roll-up doors, gates, and dock plates
- Replace components (motors, bearings, sheaves, shafts, etc.)
- Perform preventive maintenance (lubrication, cleaning, inspections, etc.)
- Identify and report safety/compliance issues
- Follow safety procedures (LOTO, PPE, hazard analysis)
- Use hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and computer systems
- Communicate work order status and ensure compliance with standards
- Recommend maintenance improvements and resolve technical issues
Minimum Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 3 years maintenance experience (Industrial HVAC, Mechanical repair, or Automotive) or equivalent
