You'll travel to commercial and industrial customer locations to diagnose issues, inspect doors and hardware, identify failures, and perform repairs or replacements on everything from metal and wood doors to fire-rated and specialty systems. Throughout the day, you'll take measurements, make adjustments, replace frames, hinges, locks, and closers, communicate recommendations with customers, coordinate with project managers and dispatchers, assist with loading dock equipment service when needed, document inventory and parts usage, complete safety inspections, and submit work orders electronically.
