Position OverviewThe Arizona Department of Education is seeking an experienced .NET Full-Stack Developer to develop, enhance, troubleshoot, and maintain statewide web applications and backend processes supporting Arizona's K-12 education systems.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience with C#, .NET, ASP.NET, Microsoft Azure, SQL Server, Power BI, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and modern full-stack development. Experience with .NET 6+, Blazor, Azure DevOps, and Agile/Scrum is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and unit test new application features and web applications.
- Review business requirements and technical design specifications.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application defects.
- Develop and maintain full-stack applications using Microsoft technologies.
- Work collaboratively with Business Analysts, QA, Operations, and leadership.
- Participate in Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Participate in software design discussions and code reviews.
- Provide development estimates and support project planning.
- Coordinate with Network Services and Operations teams for environments and deployments.
- Support application builds, deployments, maintenance, and production releases.
- Apply software design patterns, SOLID principles, and development best practices.
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve technical issues.
Required Skills- 5+ years of professional software application development experience.
- Strong C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core 3.1+ experience.
- ASP.NET Web API, ASP.NET MVC, Razor Pages.
- Strong HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and Bootstrap.
- Advanced Object-Oriented Programming and SOLID design principles.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, including Application Services, Azure Functions, and Storage Accounts.
- Strong SQL Server development, stored procedures, functions, and relational database modeling.
- Power BI development including semantic models, reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, TFS, Git, or other source control/work management tools.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across technical and business teams.
Preferred Skills- .NET 6+ and Blazor
- Legacy .NET Framework
- Telerik / Progress DevCraft / Kendo UI
- Application architecture and system design
- Azure Service Bus, API Management, Key Vault, and other Azure services
- SSIS / SSRS for ETL and reporting

Education- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
