As a Server at Dottie’s, you will guide guests through a discreet, personalized, and immersive dining experience, bringing warmth, precision, and personality to every table.
Deliver an exceptional, story-driven experience that reflects the spirit of Dottie’s and Southall’s seed-to-table philosophy
Be highly knowledgeable about menu offerings, seasonal ingredients, and cocktail selections, communicating them with authenticity and enthusiasm
Take guest orders accurately, including any allergies or special preferences, and enter them into the POS system
Coordinate seamlessly with the kitchen and bar to ensure precise timing and presentation of food and beverages
Anticipate guest needs, read each table’s vibe, and tailor the experience accordingly — whether guests seek quiet privacy or lively interaction
Promptly respond to guest requests or concerns with professionalism and care
Process cash and card transactions accurately; settle any voids or comps according to policy
Assist with resetting tables, side work, and general cleanliness of the space
Support other Food & Beverage outlets during high-volume periods or as needed
OUR TOP CANDIDATE
Prior hospitality or fine dining restaurant experience required; speakeasy or cocktail bar experience preferred
Strong working knowledge of food, wine, and craft cocktails
Excellent communication and guest service skills
Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced, high-touch environment
A collaborative spirit and positive attitude
Passion for storytelling, hospitality, and seasonal cuisine
High School Diploma or equivalent
TABC Certification required (or must be completed upon hire)
Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time
Must be able to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and a flexible schedule
Must be comfortable working in a dimly lit, atmospheric space and navigating tight spaces discreetly
