Position Title:2X Optical Fabricator Position Summary:Double side fabrication of precision plano optics.Responsibilities and Duties:Basic operation of 2X grinding or polishing equipmentReplacement of polishing pad when damaged or wornRegular cleaning and basic upkeep of 2X equipmentUse of micrometers to measure thickness of partsHandling and cleaning of opticsQualifications/Skills/Education needed:Fundamental knowledge and experience using 2X fabrication equipment; requires team leader/supervisor supportAbility to use micrometers for measuring part thicknessBasic blueprint reading (optical drawings)Proven success working in a teamwork environmentMath skills to include: decimals, unit conversions (standard/metric)Reading, writing, understanding and speaking EnglishGood eyesight (or corrected with eyewear)High school diploma (or equivalent)Ability to read and understand English
