**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a skilled Sous Chef to join our team at Doubletree TCC. The Sous Chef will assist the Executive Chef in overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen, including supervising the kitchen staff, managing food preparation, and ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
**Responsibilities:**
1. Collaborate with the Executive Chef to plan and develop new menu items.
2. Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff, ensuring they are trained and performing their duties effectively.
3. Oversee food preparation, including cooking, plating, and presentation.
4. Monitor food and labor costs to maintain budgetary guidelines.
5. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
6. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
7. Assist in ordering supplies and managing inventory.
**Qualifications:**
1. Proven experience working as a Sous Chef or in a similar role.
2. In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques and practices.
3. Strong leadership and communication skills.
4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
5. Certification from a culinary school or degree in Culinary Arts is a plus.
6. Understanding of food safety regulations.
