As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in the purification processes that contribute to the development of life-changing medicines. This is a temp-to-perm position with a competitive pay rate of $23.50/hr.
The Downstream GMP Manufacturing Associate will work in a cleanroom environment, applying biological, bioprocess, and mechanical principles to execute complex operations. This role involves activities associated with purification, such as chromatography, tangential flow filtration (TFF), ultracentrifugation, and final formulation steps, all while ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in a cGMP environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Train and perform downstream purification activities.
- Operate in a cleanroom environment following SOPs and BPRs.
- Prepare, sanitize, and disinfect equipment to prevent contamination.
- Monitor processes using automated production systems.
- Prepare buffers and solutions for downstream activities.
- Document all activities accurately in Batch Records and Logbooks.
- Communicate effectively with the team to ensure daily task completion.
- Edit and review Production Batch Records and SOPs.
- Collaborate with other departments to support downstream operations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Associate Degree with 0-2 years of experience in a GMP environment or Bachelor of Science in Science or Engineering with 0-1 years of experience.
- Basic knowledge of purification processes.
- Ability to operate manual and semi-automated equipment.
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Teams.
- Ability to work flexible hours and shift work.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for prolonged periods.
- Must pass gowning qualification and pre-employment screenings.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with chromatography systems (AKTA systems), TFF modalities, and single-use mixing systems.
- Experience in viral or vaccine production.
- Previous experience with a Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO).
- Strong communication skills.
- Attention to detail and time management.
