Downstream Technician
$20/hr. + $2 shift differential for both shifts
230pm - 11pm (2nd shift) 1030pm -7am (3rd shift)

As a Plastic Manufacturing Technician you are responsible for packaging, labeling, and performing visual quality inspections on products produced along the assigned production line. This role supports Line Operators with start-ups, shutdowns, and tooling changeovers while working collaboratively to achieve production goals. Flexibility to work 40+ hours per week, including weekends, is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and follow all safety policies and procedures
- Perform final visual inspections to ensure product quality standards are met
- Package and label finished goods according to specifications and customer requirements
- Track and record production output to support efficiency goals
- Follow standard operating procedures for packaging and handling products
- Assist Line Operators with equipment start-ups, shutdowns, tooling changes, and downstream setup
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including proper use of PPE
- Learn and stay up to date on product specifications and packaging requirements
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts across production and facility operations
- Participate in training programs to build skills and advance within the company
Required Skills & Qualifications

- Team-oriented with strong communication skills
- Willingness and ability to learn new processes and skills
- Basic math skills
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods in varying temperatures
- Frequent bending, twisting, reaching, and squatting
- Ability to stand and remain active for 8–12 hour shifts
- Capability to safely handle, move, and transport finished goods
Compensation & Benefits
Pay: Starting at $20.00/hour + $2.00 shift differential. Compensation may vary based on location, experience, and qualifications.
