Job Description SummaryThe Dowty Field Service Representative will provide direction and assistance to the work group in order to meet assigned objectives. In this role you will work within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning. Role will be responsible for supporting the R391 (C130J) Composite Propeller System and related components at Hurlburt Field, FL.Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesProvide general technical direction and assistance to the customer in the operation, maintenance, repair, logistic support, and installation of GE productsProvide on-site interpretation of data and technical instructionProvide Project Engineering, Program Management and Field Service management with complete and prompt information regarding status of programs, customer problems, failures, trends, and climateProvide communication to Product Support and Field Service regarding all program activities and problems through regular, timely reportsBe responsible for reports, including obtaining, interpreting, and communicating significant market intelligence and sales opportunities for both assigned programs and supportAssist customer in scheduling maintenance and workloadAssist in ensuring parts meet established schedulesMake recommendations on findingsReview effectiveness of maintenance actions in order to identify training needsAnticipate requirements beyond those that immediately affect the program and assist in implementing actions to satisfy those requirementsPerform intermediate and depot level maintenanceHands on repair and maintenance of the R391 Composite Propeller System and related componentsMinimum Required QualificationsAssociate degree or High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institutionMust be willing to travel up to 60% of the time.Able to lift minimum of 65 lbs.2+ years performing extensive repairs and conversions as well as maintenance and repair work to aircraft engine and/or propeller systemsMust be able to pass a non‑DOT drug test and a background checkDesired Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university (or a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of Aviation experience in a Field Service or Maintenance position)Strong oral and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal and leadership skillsProven analytical and continuous improvement mindsetAbility to multi‑task and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced operational environmentAbility to interface at all levels of the organization, both internally and externallyBenefitsGE Aerospace offers comprehensive benefits and programs to support your health and wellbeing.
