How you''ll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)

The Delta Flight Museum is seeking a creative, detail-oriented person to support our Exhibits, Social Media & Programs team. This role is ideal for a communications student, emerging museum professional, or someone interested in the intersection of storytelling, aviation history, and digital engagement.

This role offers hands-on experience in museum storytelling, digital strategy, and public engagement within a dynamic aviation environment, and is ideal for someone curious about how we tell their stories beyond the museum walls.

This individual will work closely with the Exhibits & Programs team to support communications, digital content, and program execution.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Create basic graphics using Canva or other design software
  • Assist with content creation (posts, stories, short-form video concepts) for Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and Delta's internal communication platform, SkyHub
  • Edit short and long-form video for social media and digital use
  • Assist with monitoring social platforms, assist with tagging and audience engagement
  • Draft and respond to Google reviews in alignment with museum voice
  • Support on-site programs and exhibit-related events as needed
  • Supporting oral history program by reviewing transcripts for errors, tagging and time stamping

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
  • Embraces a diverse set of people, thinking and styles.
  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
  • Comfortable using Canva and basic design tools
  • Familiar with Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and short-form video platforms
  • Strong writer with attention to tone and detail
  • Organized, proactive, and willing to jump in wherever needed
  • Interested in museums, aviation, history, or brand storytelling

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

  • A student or recent graduate in communications, marketing, museum studies, public history, or a related field
  • Video editing experience (Canva, Premiere, Final Cut, etc.)
  • Previous museum, nonprofit, or event support experience
