Job Summary:
The IT DPS Service Employee in the Information Management Bureau (IMB) is a full-time, entry-level position in computer network operations. The current vacancies are for the graveyard shift 11pm - 7am. The position is designed to equip the incumbent with the skills, training, and experience necessary to potentially advance to the role of Computer Network Help Desk Operator. Promotion to this role may be achieved after satisfactory performance during a one-year period and successful completion of the Computer Network Help Desk Operator examination process. This classification is designated as uncovered. Incumbent serves at the pleasure of the Director of the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
The Service Employee is responsible for computer network operations, including managing a large-scale, systems-oriented electronic digital computer and its peripheral equipment. Minimum Qualifications:
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Any combination of education, training, or experience which provides a general knowledge of computer or data processing concepts.

Retirement:
State employees are required to participate in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS), the State sponsored retirement contribution plan and the Long-Term Disability (LTD) program after a 27-week waiting period. The ASRS defined benefit plan provides for life-long income upon retirement.
