** Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a nationally recognized professional staffing and recruiting firm that is looking for an experienced Drafter to fill a one- year assignment in the Birmingham, AL area.


This position may require some bending, lifting, climbing, prolonged sitting, prolonged walking, walking on gravel or crawling when necessary.

Job Title: Drafter 2 

Work Location: Birmingham, AL 

Requirements:

• 2-5 years of drafting experience
• An associate’s degree in drafting and design is preferred

Responsibilities:

• CAD drafting of transmission line centerline right-of-way, boundary, topographic, and land tie surveys
• This position will be responsible for interpreting and writing “metes and bounds” or “centerline” descriptions for assigned projects.
• This position will support the survey field crews and office personnel by, but not limited to, researching existing survey and real estate records, contacting local and state agencies for right-of-way information, and transmitting completed projects.
