 Are you a versatile, detail-oriented architectural design professional who enjoys carrying a project from first massing model all the way to permit set—and making it look good along the way? We're looking for an Architectural Designer / Drafter to support a client working on high-end residential architecture—starting with two active projects with support spanning schematic design, design development, and construction documents. This is a full-time role expected to start ASAP, with exact software mix, weekly hours, and level of autonomy still to be confirmed as the projects ramp up.

Think of this as an extension-of-the-team role: you'll be the drafting and visualization engine behind the team's design direction, translating markups, feedback, and in-progress ideas into clean drawing sets and compelling 3D.

What you'll do:

• Produce architectural drafting and documentation across SD, DD, and CD phases—floor plans, sections, elevations, and detailing.

• Build and develop 3D models during schematic design and design development for design study and coordination.

• Create quick renderings during SD to support early design conversations, and more resolved visualizations as the design firms up.

• Prepare CD permit sets to present to local authorities.

• Prepare CD sets to present to the general contractor.

• Work as an extension of the design team across the Amalfi and Aptos Creek residential projects.

• Incorporate markups and feedback from the team into drawings, models, and renderings.

• Help develop and visualize design solutions while keeping project documentation moving forward.

• Support both projects in parallel, adapting as priorities and project needs evolve.

What you must have:

• Proven experience as an Architectural Designer, Architectural Drafter, or similar role on residential projects.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.

• Demonstrated experience producing SD, DD, and CD sets—floor plans, sections, elevations, and details.

• Experience with residential (multifamily) projects.

• Experience preparing permit sets for local authorities and construction documents for general contractors.

• 3D modeling and rendering ability to support design studies and client-facing presentations.

• Strong visual sensibility and a feel for materials, proportion, and composition.

• Fluent written and spoken English.

• Detail-oriented, organized, proactive, and adaptable, with a strong response to feedback and direction.

• Comfort collaborating remotely with a design team and managing changing priorities.

A great plus:

• Proficiency with SketchUp and Lumion.

• Experience on high-end or luxury residential projects.

• Experience carrying a project end-to-end, from concept through permitting and construction documents.

• Ability to produce quick, presentation-ready renderings from in-progress models.

• Additional rendering or visualization tools in your toolkit.
