The Mechanical Designer supports new product development for high current and voltage power conversion and Motor Control Center products in Milwaukee, WI, for a duration of 6+ months.
- Responsibilities include creating and updating CAD drawings from sketches or notes, suggesting design improvements for manufacturability, ensuring drawings meet project standards, and maintaining ECN/ECR documentation.
- The role involves collaborating with engineers and peers to exchange information, working under supervision to oversee application, conception, creation, release, and support of industrial power control products, ensuring quality, safety, and reliability while optimizing cost and manufacturability.
- Key duties involve developing CAD drawings, participating in design activities, and adhering to industry standards.
- Legal authorization to work in the US is required.
- Requires 3+ years of experience with CAD software (CREO, Pro/E, AutoCAD), working with large assemblies (>200 components), and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as sheet-metal, plastic forming, and machining, with experience in power distribution equipment for 240-690V AC systems.
- Pro-E CAD modeling and SAP experience are preferred.
