Drafter/Designer Responsibilities will include:
Utilize and apply drafting standards and techniques to CAD system.
Prepare complete sets of drawings which include technical layout, multiple view, detail & assembly drawings. Maintain proper documentation & database changes.
Establish advance material requirements and BOM; load bills into product structure as required to meet schedules.
Utilize mathematical formulas to compute weights, load capacities, dimensions, quantities of material, etc.
Interface with internal staff, customers and vendors regarding technical issues pertaining to parts, design, usage, specs, etc.
Provide guidance to drafters as needed.
Check work for accuracy and compatibility with standards.
Review production orders & correctly identify and order special parts required. Issue VIN.
Design work generally limited to complex layout of product based on standards & established practices; assignments designed to develop increasing knowledge of product apps.
Improve processes & conditions to create environment that is more productive including learning & applying advanced CAD capabilities.
Requirements of Drafter/Designer:
Associate Degree in Drafting or Engineering is required.
Design drafting certification preferred, but not required.
Experience with CAD software, preferably Pro-E.
Solid work ethic, good attendance and punctuality
Ability to read and understand production and print orders.
Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
