Drafter II | CAD Modeling & Engineering Drawings

Location: Elkton, MD | 100% onsite

Job Type: Full-time, 7-month contract

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9/80 schedule; start time between 7:30 and 8:00 a.m.

Pay Rate: $30.00–$34.00 per hour

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Drafter II to support a CAD Modeling and Drafting team in Elkton, Maryland. In this role, you will create and revise 2D engineering drawings and 3D CAD models for products, tooling, test components, and assemblies using Siemens NX.

What You’ll Do

• Develop detailed part, assembly, and installation drawings from basic layouts, established references, and standard data.

• Complete drawing details for major layouts prepared by others, following engineering drafting practices.

• Add dimensions, reference planes, centerlines, hidden lines, and section views as needed.

• Prepare production detail drawings and specifications for parts, assemblies, and installations.

• Update drawings and models to support product quality and manufacturing improvements.

Required Qualifications

• At least 5 years of CAD drafting and modeling experience.

• Experience creating and revising detailed engineering drawings and 3D models.

• Ability to work onsite in Elkton, MD.

• U.S. citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Siemens NX.

• Experience applying geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) and ASME drafting standards.

Pay Details: $30.00 - $34.00/hour
