Drafter

Architectural cast products manufacturer seeks CAD operator/detailer to produce shop drawings detailing layout, profiles, attachments, reinforcements and part drawings. Immediate opening for a seasoned architectural drafter with commercial building construction experience. Expertise in AutoCAD 2012 or newer. Experience with BIM and other 3D modeling programs a plus. Must be self motivated, team player and great communication skills.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Drafter with extensive experience in AutoCAD and architecture to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of architectural principles, and the ability to translate concepts into precise technical drawings. This role involves working closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to develop and refine design documents and construction plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drafting and Design: Create detailed architectural drawings, plans, and schematics using AutoCAD software.
• Collaboration: Work closely with architects, engineers, and other team members to ensure accuracy and completeness of drawings.
• Revisions and Updates: Modify and update existing drawings based on feedback, design changes, and project requirements.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all drawings, revisions, and project documentation.
• Standards Compliance: Ensure all drawings adhere to industry standards, company guidelines, and project specifications.
• Site Visits: Occasionally visit project sites to gather information, verify measurements, and ensure design feasibility.
• Quality Control: Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
• Communication: Clearly and effectively communicate design intent and technical details to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Drafting, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 or more years of experience in architectural drafting using AutoCAD.
