Job Summary:
Job duties will include providing drafting support to engineers and designers throughout the engineering design process. Work will primarily focus on Autodesk Revit (BIM) model and AutoCAD drawing development of construction drawing packages based on various datasets and engineer input, completing engineer markups during the design process, preparing design concepts, completing as-built drawings and the creation or modification of details. Responsibilities may also include performing in-field walk-downs of equipment/facilities, verifying existing conditions of sites and facilities prior to new design efforts, and compiling data.
Work will be conducted mostly in the Space Coast Area of Florida (Brevard County). Travel to other locations for projects may be required but will be limited.
Responsibilities:
This position combines advanced engineering technology expertise with leadership in design integration, quality assurance, and client engagement. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in Revit and AutoCAD, with demonstrated experience producing and coordinating complex design and construction documents, integrating non-Autodesk native files into BIM workflows, and multidisciplinary project delivery. Success in this role requires strong technical expertise, leadership, and the ability to guide project teams through complex design challenges while maintaining project schedules and budgets.
Work assignments are highly varied and require flexibility, initiative, and versatility across the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) design and drafting disciplines. Experience with additional building systems, including communications, fire alarm, and fire protection, is highly desirable.

Educational Background: AS in Drafting and Design (or equivalent experience).
Experience:
Minimum of 6 years of drafting/design experience working with Revit and AutoCAD with specific experience in application for development of MEP construction drawing packages. Refer to prior sections for detailed experience and application requirements.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in Autodesk Revit (2020-26 versions) including understanding and experience in application of the following:
Initiating BIM models using company-provided templates.
Applying coordinate systems within BIM models using project-specific information.
Modification and creation of MEP Revit families.
Incorporating point cloud scan files into BIM models for existing conditions and coordination purposes.
Applying and utilizing parameters within Revit models and families.
Converting and utilizing non-native file formats for use within Revit models.
Creating and manipulating schedules within Revit models.
Experience and proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD (2023-26 versions) including understanding and experience in application of the following:
Creating and managing sheet sets, applying custom dynamic fields.
Application and understanding of the National CAD Standards (NCS), including layer management, symbols, linetypes, text styles, and dimension styles.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Teams, and email platforms.
Ability to perform constructive and efficient quality control reviews to ensure compliance with project design standards and client-specific drafting requirements.
Familiarity with applicable codes and industry standards

This position will be filled through our Merritt Island, FL office. A hybrid work environment is anticipated with a balance of working from the office (in person) and from home (remote). Fully remote will be considered for highly qualified candidates.

Compensation & Benefits:
The expected base salary range for this role is $80,000-$95,000 USD per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and location.

Our office is located in Merritt Island, Florida, immediately south of NASA's Kennedy Space Center.
