Imprimis Group/IGXperts is actively seeking an experienced Drafting Manager for a key leadership opportunity within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can lead a drafting and design team while driving quality, consistency, and efficiency across engineering documentation and CAD workflows.

We are looking for a technically strong leader who knows how to build structure, develop talent, and keep projects moving in a high-accountability environment.

What You’ll Own:
  • Lead and mentor a team of drafters and designers in a high-volume engineering environment
  • Oversee daily workflow, project assignments, deadlines, and drafting priorities
  • Establish and maintain drafting standards, templates, libraries, and best practices
  • Ensure accuracy and quality of drawings, assemblies, BOMs, and engineering documentation
  • Manage drawing review processes, revisions, redlines, and document control workflows
  • Drive consistency across 3D modeling and 2D drafting processes
  • Partner closely with engineering, manufacturing, project management, and quality teams
  • Support design updates, engineering change processes, and production documentation needs
  • Identify workflow improvements, automation opportunities, and process efficiencies
  • Serve as the internal subject matter expert for CAD systems and drafting standards
  • Help develop team capability through coaching, training, and technical guidance

What We’re Looking For:
  • Associate degree or technical diploma in Drafting, Mechanical Design, Design Technology, or related field required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 7+ years of drafting/design experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
  • 3–5+ years of direct leadership or management experience leading drafting/design teams
  • Advanced proficiency with Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD is required
  • Strong understanding of fabrication, machining, welding, assembly, and manufacturing processes
  • Experience working within PDM/PLM systems
  • Solid knowledge of GD&T, drafting standards, tolerances, and engineering documentation control
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight timelines
  • Strong communication, organization, and cross-functional leadership skills
