The Drafting Manager is responsible for leading the drafting team through planning and execution of converting product designs to shop drawings and customer submittal packages. Actual pay may vary based on experience, education, and other factors.)Shift Schedule: 1st shift Monday – Friday Business HoursShift Differential: 1st shift – N/AKey ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership, management, and accountability within the drafting team.Ensure compliance of the customer submittal drawing process.Maintain industry standard knowledge base.Display strong leadership, team building, project management and delegation skills.Develop and standardize effective drafting and detailing processes.Hire, develop, train, and build a high‑performing team that aligns with drafting and engineering standards and collaborates with Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations for effective process execution.Minimize quality escapes that could result in defective materials or customer field issues.Communicate directly with internal and external customers with a positive attitude and solution‑oriented mindset.Proactively advocate internally for solutions and manage efficient workflows.Initiate and drive toward 5 % year‑over‑year efficiency gains.QualificationsAssociate's degree in CAD or a related technical field.At least three years of experience leading a technical team.Expert knowledge and at least five years of experience in CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.Expert knowledge in interpreting mechanical, structural, and engineering drawings and specifications.Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).Effective written and verbal communication skills.Contributor to problem‑solving activities within a team environment.Professional and detail‑oriented work style.Self‑motivated and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.Strong mathematical skills (fractions, decimals, geometry, algebra).Collaborative approach in team and individual settings.Data‑driven mindset, aptitude for growth and technology.Physical DemandsPerforming this role requires the employee to sit/stand, talk or hear, and use hands to handle objects or controls.
