Draftsperson

Position Description: Summary/Objective:
Reporting to a member of the project Management team, the incumbent will be responsible for the production Architectural Drawings/Models in AutoCAD and Revit for Nationwide Banks, Restaurants, Retailers and, large property management and construction companies throughout North America.
The successful candidate will operate in a fast-paced team environment, working in collaboration with various staff members to meet scheduled deliverables.
Essential Functions:
\tCreate drawings for industry specific projects based on preliminary sketches, concepts, and data
\tUtilize AutoCAD/Revit and other programs to develop lay out and diagrams with attention to specification details
\tIntroduction to technical handbooks and guidelines, assist with research on landlord code compliances and permitting
\tAssist in the development of floor plans
\tAssist with the completion of drawings red-lined by Principal, Assistant Project Manager and Project Manager
\tMaintain complete, readily accessible hardcopies and electronic files and records of survey reports, design direction, schedules, and any other pertinent information to the project.
\tOccasionally carry out site surveys with project team on a needed basis
\tPerform miscellaneous tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
\tAn AA degree or equivalent in Architecture or related field
\t1-2 years of experience as a Draftsperson, preferable within the retail, restaurant, or hospitality space
\tAbility to interpret construction data, engineering calculations and specifications.
\tDemonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD/Revit required, with basic knowledge, SketchUp, Photoshop and Illustrator preferred.
\tExperience drafting construction documents is required
\tMust be comfortable in a support role and possess the ability to work with minimal supervision
\tMust be able to multitask and produce accurate work
\tMust possess strong time management skills and the ability to handle the pressure of tight deadlines.

$20.00 - $20.00 Hourly
