Drainage Engineer

This is an opportunity to work on technically challenging drainage projects while collaborating with experienced engineers, designers, surveyors, and project managers.

What You'll Do

• Design stormwater collection systems, storm sewers, culverts, channels, detention/retention facilities, outfalls, and related infrastructure.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and evaluate existing and proposed drainage systems.
• Develop solutions for runoff, drainage conveyance, water quality, detention, and stormwater management.
• Prepare and review drainage plans, profiles, details, calculations, specifications, and technical reports.
• Utilize hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software to evaluate drainage conditions and develop design solutions.
• Collaborate with civil engineers, surveyors, designers, environmental professionals, contractors, clients, and regulatory agencies.
• Assist with or manage schedules, budgets, deliverables, client communication, and project coordination.

Who You Need

• B.S. in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• EIT or PE preferred, depending on experience and position level.
• 2–10+ years of experience in drainage, stormwater, civil infrastructure, transportation, land development, or related engineering.
• Experience with Civil 3D, AutoCAD, HEC-RAS, HydroCAD, HEC-HMS, SWMM, or similar software.
• Strong understanding of hydrology, hydraulics, stormwater systems, drainage design, and applicable design standards.
• Able to clearly communicate technical information to project teams, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented, analytical, collaborative, and interested in taking ownership of increasingly complex projects.
