JOB DESCRIPTION

The Locator will work with the HDD (Drill) Operator to identify and mark utilities before drilling for gas line installations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY SUMMARY
  • Assist Operator with all duties
  • Locate and mark utility lines
  • Able to perform physical tasks and work outdoors (lift 60lbs)
  • Able to work and communicate effectively in written form, e-mail, or in person with all levels of co-workers, clients, and other external contacts
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Takes personal responsibility for the quality and presentation of work
  • Maintains a positive attitude, professionalism and discretion at all times to all levels of the organization
  • Able to support a dynamic project environment with time-driven deadlines
  • Must be able to travel for extended periods of time to assigned project(s)
  • Clean driving record
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITY

Education Preferred: High School Diploma or GED

Experience Preferred: Horizontal Drill Locator Experience with utility work

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The position lifts heavy objects, walks and stands for long periods of time and performs strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.
