Are you looking to start a rewarding career in the construction, engineering, or environmental field? We are seeking a hardworking Driller Helper to assist with geotechnical drilling projects throughout the region. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience while working alongside experienced drilling professionals, with opportunities for long-term growth into a Driller or Lead Operator position.This position includes travel to project sites, with occasional overnight stays during the work week.

What You'll Do
  • Assist the Driller with geotechnical drilling operations, including soil borings, sampling, and site investigations.
  • Help set up and tear down drilling equipment and job sites.
  • Load, unload, and transport drill rods, augers, casing, tools, and other equipment.
  • Assist with collecting soil and rock samples for testing and analysis.
  • Mix drilling fluids and support drilling operations as directed.
  • Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and inspections of drilling equipment and company vehicles.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Complete field logs and assist with project documentation.
  • Travel to job sites throughout the region and stay overnight when required.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds repeatedly throughout the workday.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
  • Willingness to travel and occasionally stay overnight during the work week.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with hand tools and equipment.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
  • Previous experience in construction, field services, landscaping, utility work, drilling, or other physically demanding jobs.
  • Experience with geotechnical or environmental drilling.(preferred)
  • CDL or experience operating trucks or heavy equipment. (preferred)
  • OSHA certifications or other safety training.( preferred)
  • Mechanical maintenance or small engine repair experience.
  • Interest in building a long-term career in drilling and field operations.
