Our client, a major Oil & Gas company, is looking for a Drilling Engineer Specialist to work on an initial 12-month contract in Spring, TX.MAIN FUNCTIONSProvide engineering planning, design, surveillance, and follow-up required for the safe and efficient drilling and completion of drilling programs. Ensure well objectives are met while applying the highest standards of engineering integrity, safety, and environmental protection.TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for engineering planning, design, surveillance, and follow-up for safe and efficient drilling and completion of programs, including:Research and understand well hazards by reviewing historical offset well data.Develop well plans based on geological and reservoir objectives.Prepare cost estimates for well design options.Identify and organize equipment required for well execution, including material selection.Design wells to meet regulatory requirements.Prepare and analyze technical bids for goods and services.Survey daily operations.Provide rig site drilling and completion surveillance and assess critical activities.Offer technical assistance for projects, equipment testing, and new procedures.Collaborate with operations personnel to ensure feasibility of well plans.Coordinate with geology, reservoir, and project teams to base programs on comprehensive information and meet objectives.Deep water experience may be required, including knowledge of subsea systems, riser analysis, and subsea well control systems.SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONSB.S. degree in engineering or related technical field.Experience in deep water drilling operations if applying for a deep-water drilling engineering role.Effective organization and communication skills.Experience with well design software and Microsoft Office applications.Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).At least 5 years of drilling engineering/operations experience, including surveillance.Strong analytical and technical skills related to drilling engineering.Proven ability to communicate effectively with engineering and operations teams.Scope of WorkProvide real-time surveillance support for deepwater/offshore assets from our Wells Remote Operations Center, utilizing in-house borehole management surveillance technology.Not the job you are looking for?
