Learn how you can help create positive change in your community and beyond.Primary Responsibilities The Drinking Water & Wastewater Engineer will plan, direct, and monitor technical aspects of complex drinking water and wastewater design projects.In this role, you'll:Perform complex assignments, exercising judgment in evaluation, selection, and modification of engineering techniques and procedures.Make decisions on significant design and engineering procedures.Function as a technical specialist or project manager on mid-size projects.Coordinate staffing and workload to ensure timely project completion.Supervise small teams of professionals and technicians as needed.Implement QA/QC procedures and train personnel accordingly.Participate in reviews with governing agencies for code compliance.Perform additional duties as required.Preferred Qualifications Experience working with Alaska Native Villages or Indigenous communities.At least 3 years of experience designing water and wastewater projects.Familiarity with rural logistics and procurement challenges.#LI-JM8Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.Experience designing water and wastewater projects with plans and specifications.Professional engineering license recognized in the position's location (e.g., PE, P.Eng).Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in teams.Committed to our employee-owned culture.Our Values and Commitment HDR is built on collaboration, trust, and community engagement.
