Local Class A Delivery Driver - Kent, WA
What You'll Do:
You'll make local, multi-stop deliveries to QCD customers while safely operating refrigerated tractor-trailers and providing dependable customer service at every stop. This is a 100% touch-freight position with 14-18 stops per route, requiring you to unload cases weighing up to 75 pounds using an electric pallet jack and liftgate. Drivers are home daily with no layovers.

In This Role, You'll:
Safely operate 36- to 53-foot refrigerated tractor-trailers on local, multi-stop delivery routes
Complete approximately 14-18 customer stops per route while remaining home daily with no layovers
Unload 100% touch freight using an electric pallet jack and liftgate
Frequently lift, carry, and handle cases weighing between 5 and 75 pounds
Deliver products accurately and on time while verifying quantities and completing required delivery documentation
Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, dispatchers, warehouse associates, and supervisors
Safely enter and exit the tractor repeatedly and complete deliveries in varying weather, cooler, and freezer conditions
Perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections and comply with company safety standards and federal transportation regulations
What You'll Bring:
Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License and current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate
At least one year of tractor-trailer driving experience and one year of refrigerated trailer experience
Ability to meet all applicable Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations requirements
Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to communicate with the public, understand highway signs, respond to official inquiries, and complete required reports and records
Ability to repeatedly lift and handle cases weighing up to 75 pounds and safely perform 100% touch-freight deliveries
Availability to work afternoon and evening routes, including Saturdays, Sundays, holidays, and overtime as operationally needed
The Schedule & Setting:
Full-time, four-day schedule with three days off
Saturday and Sunday availability is required
Dispatch times generally range from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Routes average approximately 11-13 hours per shift and include 14-18 delivery stops
Local, solo routes with drivers returning home daily and no layovers
Drivers operate 36- to 53-foot refrigerated trailers equipped with liftgates
Work includes outdoor exposure and time in cooler and freezer environments
This position is represented by Teamsters Local 117
Pay & Benefits:
Pay Range (Base Pay): $35.00 per hour
Weekly pay (every Friday)
Other Compensation: $5,000 sign-on bonus. May also include overtime pay, bonuses, or other incentive pay as applicable to the position and location. Drivers average approximately $105,000 annually; actual earnings vary based on hours worked, overtime, routes, and other applicable compensation.
