Role Summary


The Driver & Event Specialist plays a vital leadership role in field execution for Kate Ryan Event Rentals. This position is responsible for ensuring that every delivery, setup, and strike runs smoothly, safely, and according to brand standards. The Lead Driver is the primary on-site representative of the company, upholding professionalism and precision at all times while training and mentoring other crew members.


This role combines logistical expertise, physical execution, and leadership — ensuring that each installation reflects Kate Ryan’s reputation for excellence and design-forward presentation.


Core Responsibilities

1. Field Leadership & Crew Oversight


  • Lead on-site crews through event setups, installations, and strikes with efficiency and precision.
  • Assign tasks, supervise crew performance, and ensure adherence to company delivery SOPs.
  • Serve as the on-site decision-maker and problem solver for event logistics, space planning, and client coordination.
  • Train and mentor new and part-time drivers or event specialists in safe handling, setup procedures, and presentation standards.
  • Maintain team morale and uphold a positive, professional work environment on every job.


2. Driving & Delivery Execution


  • Safely drive and operate large box trucks (16 and 26 ft) to deliver and retrieve inventory at various venues.
  • Truck driving and setup training (pending Train the trainer)
  • Verify all items loaded match pull sheets, ensuring clean, damage-free inventory is transported.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip truck inspections; report maintenance or damage issues promptly.
  • Adhere to delivery timelines and venue access requirements, ensuring setups begin on schedule.

  • Conduct on-site quality checks to confirm accuracy of order setup and placement.
