Driver - Facility Technician

Keep reading to learn about this opportunity in Palatine, IL!WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT BECOMING OUR DRIVER - FACILITY TECHNICIANIn this role, you will:Work part-time between the hours of 10:00 am and 4:00 pm, Monday through FridayCarefully transport people and donations in our Ford transit passenger van or minivan (no special license required!)Complete general repairs and facility maintenance around the buildingRespectfully communicate with people and assist them as neededTackle additional responsibilities as assigned to help maintain a great work environmentRequirements:Valid driver's license, a good driving record, and the ability to pass a driving test administered by a supervisorComfort driving an 8- to 12-passenger bus or minivanAbility to lift and move 40+ poundsAbility to follow instructions and stick to a scheduleStrong verbal communication skillsHigh school degree or GED equivalentCommitment to upholding our non-profit's core values: Respect, Teamwork, Mission-Driven, and CommitmentWhile not required, we would prefer that our Driver - Facility Technician can take the initiative when it comes to problem-solving and can easily adapt to changing priorities.
