PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
Driver Helperassistsdrivers who deliver goods to businesses and customers.As a driver helper, you willbe responsible forall activities except the actual driving: loading and unloading items, contacting customers, collecting payments,keeping in touchwith dispatcher or manager, doing delivery paperwork etc.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Loading and unloading company products
Assistingdrivers to find delivery locations
Compilingaccuratedelivery records and reports
Reporting all delivery-related issues to the supervisor
Effectively communicating with clients and customers to resolve complaints
Assistingwith the unloadingproducts from the truck on each delivery location
Obtaining clients and customers’ signatures as an acknowledgement of having received the delivered products
Ensuring that all safety policies and procedures are adhered to
Any other duties assigned by the management
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Proven customer service experience is preferred
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Able to work flexible hours
Excellent communication skills
Friendly and professional demeanor
Ability to work with little supervision
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Successfully passing the Human Performance Evaluation on Lift, Lift-Carry, Push-Pull, Climb, and Repetitive Posture.
While performing the duties of this job, theemployeewillbe requiredto movefrequently, stand, walk, and sit.
Frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and toreach withhands and arms. Theemployeemust be able to lift and/or move up to 50lbs and may occasionally lift and/or move up to75lbs
Repetitive hand use is, including pushing andpulling up to 50lbs, reaching above shoulder
Frequent bending and squattingare
Theemployeemust be able to safely andfrequentlyenter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area.
EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING:
High school or GED equivalent.
