Job Summary
The primary responsibility of this position is to safely deliver roll-off and portable toilet combination containers to customer job sites and to empty containers and wastewater tanks at approved disposal sites. This role requires timely communication and accurate reporting, both verbally and through the company’s mobile e-commerce application.
A Driver must build positive working relationships with project managers, respects homeowners and their property, prioritizes safety, manage time effectively, efficiently, understands the importance of logistics, and is comfortable performing hands-on work in outdoor environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely deliver roll-off and portable toilet combination containers to customer job sites.
- Provide excellent customer service to customers.
- Communicate directly with customers to ensure satisfaction.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with project managers.
- Perform safety pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with DOT guidelines.
- Comply with all company and state required safety requirements.
- Accurately log driver hours as required by DOT regulations.
- Empty roll-off containers at designated disposal sites.
- Clean and service portable toilets using a vacuum tank system.
- Secure and tarp containers properly during transport.
- Empty wastewater tanks at approved disposal facilities.
- Accurately document service activity using the company’s mobile application.
- Perform light maintenance on vehicles and equipment as necessary
- Notify Management of any vehicle issues and maintenance requirements or service intervals.
- Keep fluid levels maintained, fuel level must not get below ¼ full.
- Report any and all damage to customer or company property as soon as possible.
- Use required personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Shifts may vary and can include Saturday hours and mandatory overtime.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must provide and maintain a valid driver’s license and consent to driving record review.
- Maintain a good driving record.
- Valid and current Class B CDL or the ability to obtain a Class B CDL (training provided for the right candidate).
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Ability to pass Driver History Report (MVR – Required)
- DOT Medical Card (Required)
Work Enviornment
- This position is primarily performed outdoors at customer job sites, residential properties, disposal facilities, and roadways.
- Work may be performed in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and wind.
- The role involves operating commercial vehicles and equipment, including roll-off trucks and vacuum tank systems.
- Regular interaction with customers, homeowners, project managers, and dispatch personnel.
Physical Demands
- Ability to sit for extended periods while operating a commercial vehicle.
- Ability to climb in and out of truck cabs multiple times per shift.
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and twist as required for securing loads and servicing equipment.
- Ability to lift, push, or pull equipment and materials weighing up to approximately 75 pounds.
- Ability to tolerate exposure to odors, wastewater, and waste materials.
- Ability to work safely in high-traffic and construction environments.
